Brandon continued on in the story of Joseph in Genesis 40 where Joseph interprets the dreams of two other prisoners, both interpretations came to pass. Brandon showed the depth of this passage and how it foreshadows Jesus.
This week Brandon spent some time talking about serving the church, he talked about the culture of The Grove and why the culture is so important to accomplishing the Vision, he'll spend the next two weeks talking about the vision of The Grove.
This week Brandon taught through the story of Jacob's name being changed to Israel. He showed that this is an early foreshadowing of the Gospel where God gives us a new name when He saves us. We no longer have to be identified by our sin.
This week Brandon raced through four chapters in Genesis covering the story of Jacob finding a wife and then promptly repeating the same sin his grandfather Abraham did, sleeping with his wife's servant to have a child.
This week was Baptism Sunday, Brandon spent the first part of the sermon talking about what Baptism means and why we do it and the way we do it. He then spent the rest of the time in Genesis 26 where God tells Isaac to stay in the land during a famine instead of going to Egypt.
